A GRAND REVIVAL

CH PalaceGarden Malachy

Somerset NJ isn’t Broadway, but it does know something about revivals.  The Morris and Essex Kennel Club show ran there  from 1927 through 1957.  It was revived in 2000 and has made an appearance every five years since then.  Today’s show featured exhibitors in vintage clothing and classic cars.  BIS judge Robert Forsyth has been in dogs nearly as long as Morris and Essex.  Nine of the Top Ten Dogs were entered and five of them made it to Bob’s final.

They were the Irish Setter, GCH CH Shadagee’s Caught Red Handed. The Whippet, GCH CH Starline’s Chanel, the Boxer, GCH CH Winfall Brookwood Styled Dream, the American Staffordshire Terrier, CH Castle Rock's Sbigstaff Mad About You, the Pekingese, CH PalaceGarden Malachy, the Bichon Frise, GCH CH Saks Hamelot Little Drummer Boy,  and the Bearded Collie, GCH CH Tolkien Raintree Mister Baggins.  BIS would go to the smallest among them, the Peke, Malachy.

The huge win, puts Malachy and owner/handler David Fitzpatrick back in the Number Two Dog All Breeds spot.   Our top three are now locked in a close race for the National Title.  With two more big all breed shows to go in the area we expect lots of drama yet this weekend.
