In northern California exhibitors were in Dixon for two days with the Sacramento Valley Dog Fanciers Association.  Saturday’s final seven, all vying for the attention of judge Joan Luna, were the Weimaraner, CH Silhouettes LifeInTheFastLane, the Petit Bassett Griffon Vendeen, CH Soletrader Donald Duck, the Mastiff, CH Lexington Divine's Put Me In Coach, the Airedale Terrier, CH Sherwood's King Arthur, the Pekingese, GCH CH Windemere’s Dusting Of White At Pevyne, the French Bulldog, CH MLF Playing It Cool At Mi-De Kyi, and the Australian Cattle Dog, GCH CH Carben Copy’s If The Shoe Fits.

The one that caught her eye was the Cattle Dog, Brick.  Fresh from winning the Australian Cattle Dog club of America’s 2010 National Specialty, Brick picks up his first all breed BIS.  Congratulations to breeders Heather Warn & Tracy Carlton, owners Joyce Rowland, Dee McNeil, & Kelli Watkins, and handler Kim Griffith.

Sunday Sharon Lyons had her pick of the Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, GCH CH Fireside’s Spontaneous Combustion, the Basset Hound, GCH CH Blossomhill’s Momma Mia, the Alaskan Malamute, GCH CH Catanya’s Latin Lover, the aforementioned Airedale, the Brussels Griffon, GCH CH Cashin's Walk The Line, the above named Frenchie, and the Belgian Tervuren, GCH CH Skyacres Spy Plan. She picked the Basset, Violet.    Violet also just captured her National Specialty earlier this month and now has her first all breed BIS of the year to go with the BISS.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Suzanne Sukey Shor and handler Mike Stone.  The family trophy shelf is looking pretty spiffy.
